Payment methods
Card, company-billed, purchase order and payroll deduction — and which stores offer what.
A store offers whichever of these suits it. Most offer one. Which ones a store has is set up when it is built.
| Method | Who pays | When |
|---|---|---|
| Card | The shopper. | At checkout. |
| Billed to the organisation | The company. | No card is taken. On these stores shoppers see no prices at all. |
| Purchase order | The company. | Invoiced afterwards against the PO number. |
| Payroll deduction | The employee, out of pay. | The company is billed and deducts it. |
Card security
Card details are turned into a one-time token in the shopper's own browser and sent straight to the payment gateway. The card number never reaches our servers and is never stored in our database — there is nothing to leak, because we never hold it.
Billing postcode and address checks run at the gateway on every card order.
One method per order
An order is paid one way. Splitting a single order — goods to the company, shipping to the employee — is not something the platform does today. If that is how your program needs to work, tell us; it is a known request rather than an oversight.
